The Prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi
I can’t help but feel energized whenever this song is sang in church. Indeed today, it happened again. So my spirits were lifted because in the past several days I’ve been feeling a bit on the edge, as if being tested.
This prayer/ hymn always reminds me to pause and ask during times of uncertainty, frustration or despair: What am I supposed to learn from this? Can this experience be a way for me, or others around me, to get better? Am I allowing God to work on me or through me?
